   Breakly ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store data when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

   We collect only the data necessary to provide core app functionality:

   • Anonymous User ID

     When you use the app, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. This generates a unique user ID and does not require you to create an account or provide personal information.

   • Assessment & Preference Data

     We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

     • Occupation (e.g., student, office worker)
     • Daily screen time
     • Work schedule (e.g., lunch time)
     • Break preferences and goals (e.g., reduce fatigue, stay focused)

   • Usage Data

     We store generated schedules, activity completion status, and progress data to support app functionality.

   • Feedback

     If you submit feedback, we store the content you provide. We do not collect personal information such as email unless you voluntarily include it in your message.

     We do NOT intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as:

     • Financial information
     • Health records
     • Precise location data

3. How We Use Information

   We use collected data to:

   • Generate personalized break schedules
   • Improve app functionality and recommendations
   • Track progress and activity completion

4. AI Processing (OpenAI)

   Breakly uses a third-party AI service (OpenAI) to generate personalized schedules.

   When generating a schedule, we send limited user-provided inputs (such as preferences, working hours, and selected activity types) as structured data.

   We only transmit the minimum data necessary for this functionality and do not intentionally include personally identifiable or sensitive information.

   Data sent to OpenAI is used solely to generate the requested output and is not used by us to train AI models.

5. Third-Party Services

   We use trusted third-party services:

   • Firebase – for authentication and data storage
   • OpenAI – for generating personalized schedules

   These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Storage & Retention

   Your data is securely stored and retained as long as your anonymous account exists. Your data will remain stored unless you choose to delete it using the Clear Data feature.

7. Data Deletion

   You can delete all your data at any time using the "Clear Data" feature in the app.

   This will permanently remove:

   • Your anonymous account
   • Assessment responses
   • Generated schedules
   • Progress data
   • Feedback submissions

   After deletion, the app will reset. You can return to the welcome page and start again as a new user.

8. Your Rights

   You may:

   • Request access to your data
   • Request deletion of your data
   • Stop using the app at any time

   To exercise these rights, you can:

   • Use the "Clear Data" feature within the app, or
   • Contact us via email

   We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Security

   We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes, and your continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
